Ruth Eileen (Kennedy) Goins, 71, of Zanesville, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home. Ruth was born October 20, 1947 to the late Raymond and Pauline Kennedy. In addition to her parents, Ruth is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Myron Goins, Sr.; brothers, Denver, Paul David “Butch”, and Reginald “Cook” Kennedy; and sisters, Marlene Mayle, and Julia “Dee Dee” Kennedy Mayle Evans.

Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Myron (Cathleen) Goins, Jr., and Melissa (Tom) Cromwell; grandchildren, Joslyn and Jewel Goins, Jerome and Jalen Cromwell; brother, Richard “Dick” (Jean) Kennedy; brother-in-law, Carlos Mayle; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruth loved spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed spending time shopping or going out to eat.

Ruth also loved to go to church for worship services. Since the loss of her husband, Ruth had been known to take trips to the Amish Country or Roscoe Village, or simply take a trip to the park. Most notably, Ruth was known for her random acts of kindness, often showing up to family and friends’ houses with food and drink to offer.

She will be deeply missed. You may call on the family on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., and also 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11 a.m., at the Wings of Hope Tabernacle, 709 Lee St. Ministers Terry D. Newman and James Workman officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
