Hart, Ruth Evelyn was born September 15, 1924 in Gibson County, Indiana to Gilbert and Wilma (nee Sunderman) Buck and died peacefully Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center of Shell Rock, Iowa at the age of 94 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband of 49 years, George A. Hart, and two siblings, Robert (Bonnie) Buck and Donald Buck, a newborn sister, Eleanor Louise, a brother-in-law, sister-in-laws, and a nephew/niece. She is survived by, Her daughter, Margaret Ruth (Gary) Clark of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Her only grandchild, Monica Clark, of Des Moines, Iowa One (1) brother, Edgar Buck of Buckskin, Indiana.

Ruth worked at Sunbeam in Evansville, IN 1942-52 and at the High Ridge, Missouri License Office 1975-87. She devotedly served for many years as the Organist and Choir Director for St. Martin United Church of Christ in High Ridge, Missouri. Ruth also shared her musical talent at many inter-faith events as well as playing as a substitute organist for many churches in Jefferson County, Missouri.

She was an active member in her congregation serving in many capacities. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Oakland City, Indiana. Ruth also enjoyed traveling especially to the majestic mountains of the West.

A guest could be assured of being served a home-cooked meal and delicious cream pie! She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin United Church of Christ located at 3229 High Ridge Blvd, High Ridge, Missouri.

Interment will be at 4 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at the St. John Cemetery in Buckskin, Indiana.
