OBITUARY Ruth G. Stockum December 29, 1921 – September 15, 2018 Ruth Geraldine (Adams) Stockum, 96, of Coshocton, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Ruth was born in Coshocton on December 29, 1921 to the late Virgil and Bessie (Riser) Adams. Ruth was a member of Tyndall United Methodist Church for many years.

She was also a homemaker who loved her family and loved travelling with her husband, Lewis Stockum. She married Lewis on July 3, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1988. Ruth is survived by one daughter, Jean (Don) Bechtol, two sons, Virgil Lewis (Joyce) Stockum and Edward Paul Stockum, six grandchildren: Vicki, Ruth, John, Brian, Dustin, and Renee; 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Ruth is preceded in death by her son, John Lee Stockum. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday at 12 pm with Evangelist Sheldon Mencer officiating.

Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made in Ruth’s name to Tyndall United Methodist Church c/o Marilyn Shaffer, 45934 TR 290 Coshocton, OH 43812.
