Ella Ruth (McPherson) Pearson of Paoli, Oklahoma was born to Earl Lindsay and Mary Cardelia (Anderson) McPherson on March 19, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on February 3, 2019 at her home in Paoli, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years. Ruth lived on a farm where she learned to work hard and enjoy the simple things in life. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School.

On April 29, 1966, Ruth married Jimmy Ray Pearson. Ruth worked at H & R Block in Pauls Valley for several years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sitting on her back porch with her dog Milly, looking at the sky, watching birds, and visiting.

Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paoli. Her hobbies included yard work, grandkids, shopping, taking care of her family and cooking. The highlights of her life were her family, friends, church, and her dog, Milly.

The most important thing she taught others about life was that “This too shall pass”. Mrs. Pearson is survived by: Son: Mark Alan Pearson Daughters: Heather Julie Benthin and husband Dave Angela Lynn Bishop Brother: Edwin McPherson and Judy Sisters: Sue Waters, Janice Davis and Hardy, Nadine Bogle and Lee, and Betty Wright 5 grandchildren: Caleb Pearson, Blake Bishop, Bryson Bishop, Dustin Hutchinson, and Clayton Pearson 6 great-grandchildren: L’Rae, Calen, and Brier Pearson, Aubree, Grace, Raylie Bishop and Clamity Jane Hutchinson Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by Husband: Jimmy in 2009 Parents: Earl and Mary McPherson Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Seth McDevitt officiating.
