Ruthie M. Linzy of Saginaw, MI passed away on November 28, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper at the age of 95 years. Born on April 5, 1923, Ms. Linzy was a longtime resident of Tennessee and was an active member of the Zion Temple Church of God in Christ. In 2009, she relocated to Saginaw, MI to be near her daughter and family.

She enjoyed attending church, reading her Bible and singing for the Lord. She also loved to perform her favorite gospel song, “I’m Going Home on the Morning Train”. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Linzy; son, Calvin (Dorothy) Linzy; grandchildren, Patricia (Jerry) Young, Jennifer (Roderick) Sims and Rebecca Linzy; sibling, Ms. Jimmie Lou Gordon; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lenoris Linzy and daughter, Debra Linzy. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Byron Hayes will officiate.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
