Marilyn H. Beyersdorf (Bierlein) passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018, with family and friends by her side at the age of 76. The daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda (Hecht) Bierlein of Reese was born on August 16, 1942, in Reese, MI. She married Larry Beyersdorf of Hemlock on February 19, 1966.

Early in her career she was employed as a photography technician and a key punch operator. The majority of her working career was driving bus for the Hemlock Public Schools where she enjoyed her colleagues and the many families and their children. As a bus driver, Marilyn was able to inspire, motivate and connect with students of all ages and her legacy lives on through them.

Marilyn approached the world with humor, the wisdom of tradition and the love of beauty. She was both a skillful and accomplished oil painter, having the ability to create beautiful works freehand; her work was often inspired through travel. Marilyn designed and constructed much of her high school wardrobe.

While raising three children with Larry, she also supported the family farm, was a fantastic cook, and enjoyed visiting with friends. Larry and Marilyn were blessed with wonderful friends, neighbors, and relatives throughout their life. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and casino outings with her special girlfriends, Clara Evon, Darlene Bachula and Pat Watson.

Her grandchildren will forever hold a special place in her heart and she loved cheering them on in sports and life. She will forever be remembered for her selflessness, generosity and her kindness. Surviving besides her husband, Larry, are three children, Troy (Michelle) Beyersdorf, Tracy Davis, and Neil Beyersdorf (Sanel); six grandchildren, Chase, Ryleigh, Braden, and Adam Beyersdorf; Cameron and Alexis Davis; three sisters, Bonnie (James) Weber, Nancy (Eriks) Jansons, and Angelyn (Timothy) Watt; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, Clarence and Hilda Bierlein and a sister, Sally DuRussel. The Beyersdorf family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Balcueva, Dr. Roma Srivastava and the staff of St. Mary’s of Michigan 4 North for all the compassion and care they provided to Marilyn; as well as to Aaron and George of Reverence Home Health and Hospice and to Scott Gaeth of Case Funeral Home.
