Albert Shaffer Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away Thursday November 8, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Albert was born August 2, 1925 in Turner Michigan to the late, Edgar and Mary (Smith) Shaffer. Albert married Geraldine LeVert April 22, 1950, she predeceased him November 10, 2000.

Albert served in the U.S. Army, and retired from U S Graphite Inc. Albert was an avid gardener and sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are his children; Patrick (Linda) Shaffer, Clarkston, MI; Rick Shaffer, Saginaw; Randy (Sue) Shaffer, Laingsburg, MI; Wayne Shaffer, Bridgeport, and Michael Shaffer, Bridgeport; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters Lila Stevens and Alice Kammerzell. Albert was predeceased by two sons Mark Shaffer, Gary Shaffer and a daughter-in-law Cheryl Shaffer.

Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday November 12, 2018 at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State Street Bridgeport MI 48722. Rev. Ron Sinclair will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, and then at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Bridgeport Community Church.
