Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 6, 2018 at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Floyd and Louella (Froats) Wheeler was born on October 11, 1938 in Empire, MI and grew up in the Fosters area. Louis retired in 2006 from Waste Management after 47 years of service.

He was an outdoorsmen, and enjoyed gardening especially his strawberry gardens, vintage cars and trips to the casino. Surviving besides his wife, Rose, are their children: John (Sue) Wheeler, Jr., Ray Wheeler, Cindy Wheeler, Lisa (Matt) Bain, Lori (Steve) Swift, Bill Wheeler, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his twin sister, Lucy Spohn and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway with Rev. Ron Sinclair officiating with burial to follow at Spaulding Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
