Sadie’s Obituary Sadie Mae Rockco Morgan, 97, passed away March 21, 2019, at Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, MS. She was born on July 05, 1921, in Walthall County, Mississippi, to the late Jack Andrew Rockco and Gennie Mae Cook Rockco. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Miller Morgan; a son, Randy Morgan; stepsons, Ben Morgan and Jimmy Morgan; a grandson, Charlie Hall; a great grandson, Jared Case; four sisters; Iska Rockco, Mary Axen, Ernestine Ratcliff, and Christine Daughtry; four brothers; Jim Rockco, Rev.

J. B. Rockco, Edward Rockco, Ramsey Rockco, and Bill Rockco. She was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School classes for many years. She was also a Cub Scout and 4-H Leader.

to many, she was known as “Miss Sadie” who worked as a salesclerk; first with her husband at Dan’s Auto Parts, then B. F. Lampton’s, Rawls’s Jewelry, and H. H. Simmons’ where she retired. Mrs., Morgan had been active in the American Legion Auxiliary where she served as President. Many remember her work as a pink lady in the Walthall County General Hospital Auxiliary.

She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club and won numerous blue ribbons for her flower arrangements. One of her many joys was to go fishing and playing dominos with her family. Survivors include two daughters; Jean Thornhill (Lee) of Tylertown.

MS and Sheila Martin (Reggie) of Brookhaven, MS; seven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, J. W. Rockco of Tylertown, MS and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Justin Knight officiating.

Burial will be in the Rushing Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lee Thornhill III, Michael Thornhill, Scott Thornhill, Josh Morgan, Lance Morgan, and Grady Case. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Doctors and Staff of Walthall County General Hospital, Billdora Senior Care, and Compassus Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for our loved one.
