McDonald, Ohio – Sally “Butch” Hanshaw, 74, of McDonald, Ohio, formerly of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2018, while a patient at Beeghly Oaks Center, Boardman, Ohio, following a long illness. She was born on February 2, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter to William J. and Dorothy (Ryan) Cozadd. Sally was a former member of the Girard United Methodist Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Girard.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, camping with her family, and bowling in the Kay Lanes League. She leaves to cherish her memories; husband, Phillip R. Hanshaw, Sr., whom she married April 16, 1963; son, Phillip R. Hanshaw, Jr. (Susan), McDonald; sister, Georgia “Peach” O’Connell (Harry), Austintown, Ohio; grandchildren, Tiffany Bell (Don), Nicole Moy (Stephen), and Connor Hanshaw; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, and Jack Bell; and her little dog, Max. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gary A. and Raymond Joseph Hanshaw; and sister, Bonnie Paden.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30th, 5:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service. She will be laid to rest in Belmont Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society , 525 N Broad St, Canfield, OH 44406.
