Obituary for Mrs. Samille Holbrooks Miles Samille Holbrooks Miles, 83, wife of Eugene “Gene” Talmadge Miles, of 420 Weldon Road, Westminster, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018, at PruittHealth – Pickens. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Miles was the daughter of the late Noah Carlis and Sarah Alice Carter Holbrooks. She retired from Jantzen after working for over forty years as a seamstress.

Mrs. Miles’ hobbies included gardening, cooking and sewing. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miles is survived by her daughters: Kathy Evatt (Dale), Debbie Abu-Eideh and Marcia Hardy (Kelly); grandchildren: Thomas Evatt, Farrah Martin, Corey Smith, Chasity Miles, Kayla Miles and Heather Teasley; nine great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law: James “Mac” McAlister.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her son: Rickey Miles; and sister: Lola McAlister. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
