Samuel Lee Ford April 18, 1953 – January 06, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Samuel Lee “Chuck” Ford was born the fifth child of Rev. Earnest Ford and the late Sis. Mary Ida Ford on April 18, 1953 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

He was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. M. M. Cuby at the New Light Baptist Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Samuel was a product of the Calcasieu Parish School system, graduating from Marion High School in 1970 and immediately enrolled in the United States Marines, where he rose to the rank of Sargeant and received an Honorable Discharge in 1973.

He was an employee of Mike Peterson Lake Charles Auto Auction. On October 27,2015, Samuel was happily united in Holy Matrimony to Christa Brown Ford. Samuel is survived by his wife, Christa Brown two stepsons,Byron Brown and Andrew (Me’Shala) Papion , his father, Rev.

Earnest Ford,’ sisters: Jereline Fontenot of Flint, Michigan, Dr. Kay Varnado, of Washington, D. C., Ursula (Paul) Jones of Lake Charles, LA Debra (Floyd) Cavit of Houston, TX and, Sherrell Pierce of Temple Hills, Maryland,’ one brother, Rev. Earnest{Easter) Ford, Jr. of Flint, Michigan; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
