OBITUARY David William Baker July 27, 1953 – January 8, 2019 David William Baker 65, passed away at his local residence on January 8, 2019. He was born on July 27, 1953 to His parents, Raymond Warren and Marion A. Finch Baker in Maywood, CA. David lived in Grand Lake, LA and Big Lake, LA most of his life.

He worked as a crew boat Captain and commercial fisherman. He Graduated from Grand Lake High School in 1972. Those left to cherish his memory is his sister, Margie Kent of Lake Charles; nieces, Jennifer Henley, Dawn (WC) Beard, Lydia (John) Ogea, Lydia (Austin) Fontenot, Brittany Miller; nephews, Phillip Henley and LCPL Chance Smudricks also numerous extended nieces and nephews; extended siblings, Lydia “Dee” (Doug) Greenough, Frederick “Buddy” Wannage Jr., Georgia (Ronnie) Kent, Marianne “Poochie” Wannage, Marion “MeeMee” Froemming (Don), Margaret “Peanut” Wannage, JD Neff, and special thank you to his caretaker Cathy Doucet (Carson).

David is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Warren Baker; nephew, Kevin James Baker; brother-in-law, Stanley Kent; adopted parents, Katherine “Ole Lady” and Fredrick “Ole Man” Wannage; sister-in-law, Stella “Joyce” Wannage; adopted sister, Mary Ellen “Teet” Rasmussen; adopted brothers, Willis “Sonny” Rasmussen, and Edward “Eddie Joe” Wannage.
