Samuel P. Schultz November 25, 1948 – May 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Samuel Paul Schultz, 70, died on Saturday, May 11 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Services will be held at Buchanan Funeral Home, 8712 N. Council Rd. , on Wednesday, May 15.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., with a celebration of life at 2 p.m. and burial immediately following at Rose Hill Cemetery. Sam was born in Oklahoma City on November 25, 1948 to Oscar and Arlene Schultz. He earned a bachelors degree in business management from Central State University and spent the bulk of his career in finance in OKC and Atlanta.

He loved his family, kept a meticulous lawn and believed cars and wheels should be washed by hand. His nieces and nephew have fond memories of driving fast and listening to amazing tunes in his ‘82 Trans Am. He also spoiled them with waffles for dinner followed by movies with popcorn.

Sam relocated back to Oklahoma City from Atlanta in 2012 to be the primary caregiver for his mother so she could remain in her home. He is survived by his siblings, Karen Martinek and Steve (Susan) Schultz, as well as nephew Billy Martinek, and nieces Suzanne (Jimmy) Hawkins, Amy (Ben) Gibson and Lindsay (Michael) Vidrine. Sam was also beloved by his great-nephews Luke, Grayson, Holten and Jack.
