Samuel “Sammy” William Brown, age 66, of Dexter, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, June 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Middle Ground Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Christopher Bryan, Kevin Bryan, Gary Moore, Bobby Hall, Ricky McDaniel, Cecil Couch, and Sonny Couch. Mr. Brown was born in Laurens County and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to help out his friends. He was employed with Bearden Oil Company and was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, S.W. Brown; grandparents, David Jackson Bryan, Ida Hatcher Bryan, Leandrew Brown, Lula A. Brown and uncle, Howard J. Bryan. Survivors include his mother, Doris Bryan Brown, of Dexter; David Andrew “Andy” Brown, of Dexter; step-sons, Bobby Hall (Michelle), of Kennesaw and Travis Hall (Jenny), of South Korea; step-grandchildren, Ethan Hall and Connor Hall of Kennesaw, and Tyler Hall, Colton Hall, and Landon Hall, of South Korea, as well as numerous cousins and relatives. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021.
