Murray, 67, of Neptune passed away peacefully on January 5, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Sandra, known to most as Sandie, was predeceased by her parents Ruth and George Stone Jr. and her brother George Stone III. She is survived by her husband John M. Murray, her children and their spouses: Sean and Stephanie Murray, Dr. Ryan and Alerica Aylward, Dr. Elizabeth Murray, and Lauren and Vincent Hamilton; her sister Cynthia Banas and her husband Richard, her brother Robert Jeffrey Stone and his wife Jacqueline, and her sister Elizabeth Young and her husband James.

She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jackson and Dylan Murray, and Brennan and Marlowe Aylward. Sandie was born in Richland, Washington and lived throughout the US and Canada before settling in New Jersey for the majority of her adult life. She was a graduate of Kinnelon High School in New Jersey before earning a degree in Elementary Education from William Paterson University.

Sandie worked as an elementary school teacher in various schools, retiring from Saint Mary School in Ocean in 1990. She and her husband briefly retired to Delaware before deciding to return to Neptune, New Jersey. Sandie was an avid gardener who also enjoyed spending time with her family and beloved dog, Coffee.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street, Belmar, New Jersey. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm. Committalwill be held privately.
