Obituary for Sandra M. Kolavic Sandra M. Kolavic, 79 of Aliquippa passed away after a brief battle with cancer on September 5, 2018. Sandy was born September 6, 1938 in Aliquippa and was the daughter of the late Mitter and Branka (Pivar) Markovich. Sandy was the blessed with the best 80th birthday present she could hope for.

She was joyfully reunited with her beloved daughters, Lisa and Lori Kolavic and her loving husband Theordore S. Kolavic, Jr. Together they will share the glory of eternal life. Sandy was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed her daily scripture reading, weekly Bible study and she shared her faith with everyone she met.

Sandy’s faith was always an anchor for her. Sandy had an incredible love for animals. She fed the birds, squirrels, deer and any stray animal to come her way.

She was retired from the former Thrift Drug, Rite-Aide, and Mellon Bank. Sandy is survived a brother: Milan Markovich and a sister Beverly Colacito, numerous nieces, nephews and a devoted friend, who was like a daughter to Sandy, Roxanne Runovitz and her family. Following Sandy’s wishes, a private service was held at Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa.

Entombment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donations, if desired, may be to the Beaver County Humane Society in memory of Sandy.
