Obituary for Margaret “Maggie” (Calabro) Palen Margaret “Maggie” (Calabro) Palen 94, of Aliquippa went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2018. She was born December 12, 1923 in Elwood City, PA and was the daughter of the late Domenico and Maria (Conti) Calabro. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Martin J. Palen.

Four brothers: Anthony Calabro, Guy Calabro, Sr., Frank Calabro, Phillip Sciaretta and Joseph Sciaretta and a special companion, Joseph Casp. Maggie was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her family who survives her; two daughters, Lynn Palen and Mary F. Freeland.

A special grandson and his wife Richard and Amanda Freeland, three sisters; Angeline Pierce, Jenny (Phillip) Mairano, Antoinette “Babe” Taglieri, a cousin, Gaetano Calabro and special friends, The Louis Campisi Family who were like family to Maggie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday from 3-7 pm in the Anthony Mastrofrancesco Funeral Home Inc. 2026 McMinn Street Aliquippa, 15001 724-375-0496.

Departing prayers will begin at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Titus Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
