Obituary for Sandra Lou Borden Sandra L. Borden passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born May 2, 1940 to the late Reginald and Emma “Em” (Roland) Taylor. Sandie was united in marriage to Roger Borden in Kalamazoo.

He preceded her in death in March of 2015. She was a devout follower of Christ, leading her family with Him always in mind. She loved her family, her church, and serving others.

Sandie was a teacher at heart, but she enjoyed cooking and gardening as well. Sandie could always be counted on to lend a hand or a sympathetic ear. Sandie is survived by her children, Brad (Renee) Skillman, Bryan Skillman, Stephen (Laura) Borden, Stacy (Francis) Hsu; 9 grandchildren, Jordan, Connor, Maggie, Emily, Ryan, Ian, Alex, Nathan and Abby; sister, Ann Panse; brothers and sister-in-law, David Borden, Sandra (Ed) Eggleston and Terry (Judy) Borden; and several nieces and nephews.

Sandie was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Jane Borden. The family will greet friends on Friday, May 25th, from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 26th, 9:00 am at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 E. G Ave.

, Kalamazoo. Pastor Mark Holman will officiate. Burial will follow in Ft.
