Obituary for Sandy Mahrenholz Sandra (Winternheimer) Mahrenholz, 79, of Evansville, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at her home. Sandy was born August 16, 1939 in Evansville to the late Welborn “Bill” and Normonda (Klein) Winternheimer. She worked as the manager and bookkeeper for the Westside Pet Hospital that she and her husband owned and operated for many years.

Sandy was a 1957 graduate of Reitz High School and a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, needlepointing, boating with her husband, Dick and planning and hosting social events. Surviving Sandy are her husband of 53 years, Richard “Dick” Mahrenholz; daughter, Lara Mahrenholz; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Peggy Mahrenholz; niece, Megan (Jarred) Perry; nephew, Matt (Emily) Mahrenholz; great niece, Kinley; great nephew, Fisher; many cousins; and her beloved pets, Sadie and Ellie.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, where there will be a memorial service celebrating Sandy’s life held at 4:30 PM, Rev. Kevin Fleming officiating. The family would like to thank Deaconess VNA Hospice and Regina Clark for the kind and compassionate care given to Sandy.
