Obituary for James E. Dyson James E. “Jim” Dyson, 86, of Evansville, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Jim was born October 14, 1931 in Symsonia, KY to the late James C. and Willie (Farmer) Dyson. He worked for Whirlpool Corporation for over 39 years before retiring.

Jim enjoyed umpiring youth baseball and loved to go camping and fishing. Surviving Jim are his wife of 61 years, Yvonne (McCutchan) Dyson; a daughter, Chris Dyson of Evansville; sons, Kenny (Marty) Dyson and Tim (Joan) Dyson, both of Evansville and Mike (Cathy) Dyson of Wadesville; a brother, Bill (Sue) Dyson of Evansville; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Jennifer, Cindy, Ryan, Cody, Kayla, Sarah, Aubrey and Caleb and great grandchildren, Dominic, Elliott, Jace, Jett and a great granddaughter due in January. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by sisters, Lema Moore and Millie Thacker; by a brother, Bobby Dyson and by infant brothers, Glen and Oscar Dyson.

Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. Private graveside services will be held at Blue Grass Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linda E. White Hospice House.
