Obituary for Margaret Joleen Bequette On September 14, 2018, Margaret “Joleen” Bequette passed away at the Linda White Hospice Center. Joleen was born in Germantown, Pa. in 1931.

She graduated from Mt. Aloysius Academy in Cresson, Pa. and then from St. John’s School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO.

She was a registered nurse and was a member of the Indiana Nursing Association. She enjoyed working with the elderly and was on the staff of several nursing homes in Evansville. She was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul society and on various committees at Sacred Heart and Corpus Christi churches.

She was a member of the Brute Society of the Diocese of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (2012). She is survived by three children, Stephen (Sandy) of Evansville, Peg of Brownsburg, IN and Matt (Yumei) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

She wants to be remembered as saying, “She lived—she died, and in between she tried”. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601W. Franklin Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corpus Christi Church and Mater Dei High School.
