Leo Datzman, 92 years old, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Rosemary Schweizer Datzman, who passed away in March of 2017. Leo and Rosemary were married on the morning of October 18, 1952 at Assumption Cathedral.

Together they raised 8 children. He served in the United States Air Force in Japan immediately after World War II.

After his return, Leo spent the majority of his career as a Lithographer at Keller Crescent Advertising Agency. He was a life-long learner whose creative talents were expressed in his photographs, paintings, award-winning carvings and woodworking. Survivors include two sons, Chris (Jeanne) Datzman and Tim Datzman, both of Evansville; five daughters, Jennifer (Dennis) Morgan of Salem, IN, Vicki (Mack) McLaren of Sugar Land, TX, Debbie (Frank) Hacker of Brazil, IN, Cindy Datzman of Cleveland, OH, Lisa (Jason) Pittman of New Bern, NC; two sisters-in-law, Roberta Schweizer of Evansville, Evelyn (Ray) Shoemaker of Henderson, KY; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Leo is pre-deceased by his wife, Rosemary, his daughter, Julie Ann; four brothers Homer, Conrad, Lester and Jerry; two sisters, Thelma and Kathleen and his parents Ledia and Leo Datzman, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends and family may visit immediately preceding the funeral from 9:00 AM Saturday until service time. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be made online at www.
