Obituary for Robert J. Bredemeier Robert Bredemeier, 79, of Mt. Vernon, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 05, 2018 at Deaconess Hospital Midtown Campus. Bob was born January 17, 1939 in Evansville, IN to the late Walter and Louise (McCoy) Bredemeier.

He was the owner and operator of the first Japanese steak house in Evansville, having owned Kabuki’s Steak House for ten years; Bob also worked in sales for both WEHT and WFIE television stations, as well as driving a tour bus and school bus for EVSC. Bob had also served as the president and vice president of the Westside Optimist Club. Surviving Bob are his son and daughter-in-law, Cary and Johna Bredemeier of Mt.

Vernon; a special friend, Susie Wilson; two brothers, Jim (Gaye) Bredemeier and Allan (Sarah) Bredemeier, a grandson, Benjamin Bredemeier and great grandson, Knox Bredemeier. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Bredemeier. Friends may visit with the family from 3:30 until 5:30 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.

Funeral services will be private. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Deaconess I.C.U. and Mt. Vernon Nursing Rehab.
