OBITUARY Richard C. Johnson April 17, 1941 – September 11, 2018 Richard “Rick” C. Johnson, 77, of Shelbyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018. He was born April 17, 1941 in Joliet, IL to the late Ezra and Inez (Westman) Johnson. He was a US Air force veteran, serving from 1959-1962.

Richard was employed at Amax Coal Company, retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor in 1995. He was a member of the Hadi Shrine, American Legion, past Monarch of No Ruz Grotto, past Master Social Lodge #86 in Terre Haute, IN, past President of Midwest Grotto Association and the Villages Masonic Lodge in Lady Lake, FL. Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, June Johnson in 1995.

He is survived by sons, Harley Nels Johnson (Sharmin) of Harrisburg, IL and Brent Johnson of Evansville; daughters, Jennie I. Lasseter of Frankfort, KY, Tamara Mickel (Eric) of Evansville and Cynthia Kruse (Elmer) of Dawson Spings, KY; grandchildren, Ryan Mickel, Courtney Mickel, Christopher Hargrove, Zachary Johnson, Richard Canada and Steven Canada and three great-grandchildren, Hope, Christopher, Jr., and Charlotte Hargrove. A Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Charleston Farber with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 4:00-8:00PM, Friday, September 14, 2018 at the funeral home.

There will be a Masonic Service by Evansville Lodge #64 on Friday at 6:00PM. Condolences may be made online at www. AlexanderNorthChapel.com.
