Robert Lee Goad, Jr. “Big Bob”, age 61, of Evansville, IN, went to be with the Lord, his wife, and father that he missed so much on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Robert was born April 5, 1957, in Evansville, IN, to Robert Lee Goad, Sr. and Rosie (Ramsey) Goad. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1975 and went on to work for Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation as a head custodian.

He loved being with his family and good friends. He had a heart of gold and was such a big loving teddy bear. Robert was willing to help everyone and was Mr. Fix-it.

He loved going to yard sales with his close friends. He had a few nicknames that family and friends affectionately called him: Big Bob, Robby, and Bob. He is survived by his mother, Rosie Goad; two sons, Dwayne (Ashley) and Brian (Sandra) Goad; grandchildren, Alysa, Kody, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Allison, and Alex; sisters, Teresa Goebel (Francis) and Brenda Henrich; brothers, Glenn Goad and Ricky Goad; close friends, Bob Armstrong and Rick Phillips; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Goad, Sr., who passed away in 2004; his loving wife of 37 years, Joy “Anna Marie” (Shelton) Goad, who passed away in 2015; and his two beloved German Shepherds, Victor and Harley. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Dr. Jack Eberhardt officiating. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL. Memorial Contributions may be made to: It Takes A Village at 1417 N Stockwell Rd, Evansville, IN 47715.
