Dale C. Hartke, age 64, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at home. Dale was born September 12, 1953, in Evansville, IN, to the late Constant and Minnie (Lane) Hartke. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1972 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology from University of Evansville.

Dale was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He was the owner of Hartke Insurance, which he took over from his dad in 1994. Dale loved music, especially 60s and 70s Rock and Blues guitar player, Boscoe France.

He enjoyed fishing, inventing, and he loved jet skiing on the Ohio River. As a side business, Dale enjoyed building dog washing systems that he sold to dog groomers. He is survived by his niece, Ruth Hartke of Baltimore, MD; partner, Celeste Seabolt; sister-in-law, Donna Hartke; special friends, Scott Hagan and Tim Pearson; many cousins and friends; and beloved cats, Romeo and Badger.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bryan Hartke. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Boys and Girls Club of Evansville at 700 Bellemeade Ave, Evansville, IN 47713 and American Cancer Society at 5250 Vogel Rd, Evansville, IN 47715.
