Obituary for Jessie Mae Armstead Jessie Armstead, age 96, of Henderson KY, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2018. She was born in Robards KY to the union of Charlie and Minerva Powell Johnson. She was a member of Love Temple and served as a Church Mother and Sunday School teacher for several years.

She helped to support her family by cleaning homes for 70 years. Jesse was preceded in death by two sons: Archie Davis and Jacob Armstead; two sisters: Mabel Armstead and Margaret Johnson; eight brothers: Walter, Sealie, Phil, Willie, Dudley, Charlie, Joe, and Clinton Johnson. She leaves to mourn her passing four daughters: Shirley Randle (Amos), Gloria Anderson of Evansville IN, Dorothy Morse (Richard) and Lois Armstead, both of Henderson KY; four sons: Jesse Davis of Evansville IN, Lewis Armstead (Patricia), Harlan Armstead (Sharon), Jason Armstead (Crystal) all of Henderson KY; and one daughter-in-law, Gloria Davis.

Services are Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Greater Norris Chapel in Henderson KY with visitation from 10:00am until service time. Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.
