Dennis K. Wright, age 71, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Dennis was born August 26, 1947 in Evansville, IN to Harry “Shorty” and Ada (Jackson) Wright. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Dennis retired from Whirlpool after 17 years. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Renee; son, Eric Wright (Tracey) of Chandler, IN; Sister, Doris Egnew (Charlie) of Haubstadt, IN; brother, Larry Wright (Billie) of Tallahassee, FL; and granddaughter, Sophia. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Sue Williams officiating. Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will render full military rites at Oak Hill Cemetery. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018 and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
