Louise (Kiely) Owen, 88, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Walnut Creek Alzheimer’s Center. Louise was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 8, 1929 to the late Loren and Leta (Phillips) Kiely. Louise graduated in 1947 from Central High School and in 1951 from University of Evansville.

Louise was a 50 plus year member of Trinity United Methodist Church. As a champion in so many ways, Louise’s love of family is where her trophies are displayed. Louise is survived by her son, Michael A. Owen (Susan) of Evansville, IN; daughters, Martha Harker (Greg) of Indianapolis, IN, Leanne Dennis (David) of Jamestown, NC and Susie Hoppe of Franklin, TN; sister, Mary Campbell of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Andy Owen, Sarah Bigler, Chris Owen, Audra Shestak, David Harker, Mike Dennis, Joe Dennis, Sam Dennis, Owen Hoppe and Lila Hoppe; and by seven great-grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Arthur “Archie” Owen who passed in 1998. A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711.

Burial will follow at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 12:00 PM Noon until 8:00 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity UMC, 216 SE 3rd St., Evansville, IN 47713.
