Obituary for Jeffrey Olen Goebel Jeffrey Olen Goebel, 40, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018. Jeff worked as a plumber. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, hiking and fishing with his son Seth.

He also was an avid sports fan and a fan of the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago Cubs and New York Jets. Jeff is survived by his wife, Cara; a son, Seth Goebel of Mt. Vernon, IN; parents, Tom and Karen (Metz) Goebel; a sister, Angela (Jaret) Wilson and brother, Nathan (Tammy) Goebel, all of Evansville; three nieces, Katelyn Goebel, Ava and Chloe Wilson and two nephews, Gavin and Kaleb Wilson.

Jeff is also survived by a very large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Rev. Claude Burns officiating.

Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery will follow. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a prayer service held at 4:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Corpus Christi Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ozanam Family Shelter or to the House of Bread and Peace. Condolences may be made online at www. pierrefuneralhome.com.
