Sara Jane Sager, 86, of Jeannette died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at home. She was born June 7, 1932 in Penn Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sara Mae Laughner Loughner. Prior to retirement she was a certified nurse’s aid at St. Anne Home, Greensburg.

She was a 30 year member of the Jeannette American Legion Post #344 Auxillary. She was always there for everybody and loved her politics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, F. Jay Sager and 8 siblings; Emma Jean Knechtel, Florence Mauro, Harold, John, Thomas, George, Joseph and Oliver Loughner.

She is survived by two daughters, Sara Kristen Sager and Laurie Ferace and her husband Eugene, all of Jeannette, two grandchildren, Duke and Jason Ferace, a brother, Alvin Loughner of Jeannette, sister, Bertha Kern of Youngwood, a loving niece Elisa Inks and John Ressler of Jeannette and a number of nieces, nephews, friends and people who loved her. Freinds will be received Saturday from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 201 N. First St., Jeannette.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jeannette American Legion Auxillary, 109 S. 5th St., Jeannette, PA 15644. To send online condolences, visit www.
