Sarah A. Meisch, age 43, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 after a two-year battle with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She was born May 8, 1975 in Muskegon to Jerry and Carol (Fraser) Meisch. Sarah graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Journalism.

She also had a Bachelor’s degree in Library Sciences from the University of Illinois, CU. Sarah loved writing and worked as a “Print Journalist” for newspapers in South Carolina, Horsham, PA, and Chicago, IL. During her high school and college years, she did internships at the Muskegon Chronicle, Norton Examiner, and in Erie, PA.

Sarah loved to shop Thrift Stores for “1950’s” items, and enjoyed gardening and reading. She is survived by her parents: Jerry and Carol Meisch; brother, Christopher Meisch; sister, Elizabeth Meisch; grandmother, Barbara Jean Somers-Fraser; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Sarah also leaves behind her fur babies: Raven and Hope.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James C. Fraser, Jr.; grandmother, Thressa Sikkenga Meisch-Clover; and uncles: Nicholas J. Fraser, David C. Meisch, and Robert Fairris. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 12 Noon until 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. , 231-759-8565.
