Obituary for Mrs. Sarah T. Fergus Mrs. Sarah T. Fergus Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Morning Star Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Sarah T. Fergus, 80, who entered eternal rest, Monday, October 15, 2018 at Opelousas General Health System. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park. Rev.

Gerald Toussaint will officiate at the service. Mrs. Fergus is survived by seven children, Leroy Gant, Jr. (Denise) of Patterson, LA, Wanda G. Simmons (Michael) of Opelousas, LA, Kerry Gant of Patterson, LA, Kathy Alexander (Ron) of Lafayette, LA, Degra Harris (Phillip) of Patterson, LA, Rita L. Gant (Mark) of Opelousas, LA and Godfrey Fergus (Michelle) of Arlington, TX; three sisters, Marion Joyce Griffin (Lucius) of Patterson, LA, Anita Marie Gore of Oklahoma City, OK and Mitzy L. Muselum of Patterson, LA; a close neighbor and friend, Mike Colligan of Opelousas, LA; 32 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Mrs. Fergus was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Turner, Sr. & Hilda Minus Turner; a daughter, Cynthia D. Hilliard; three brothers, Charles Turner, Jr., Carl Turner, Sr. and Kent Turner.
