Obituary of Sean Lindsley Sean Ryan Lindsley, age 30 of Seymour, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Griffin Hospital following complications received in a residential fire. Born in Bridgeport on June 22, 1988, he was the beloved son of Jerry C. and Mary A. Starks Lindsley of Grantham, NH. Sean was raised in Seymour, CT and Easton, CT graduating from Joel Barlow High School in 2006.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2008 attaining the rank of Corporal and served his duty assigned to security forces until the time of his honorable discharge in 2013. Sean attended Keene State and Naugatuck Valley Community Colleges, prior to working as a machinist for the Gen-El-Mec Associates, Inc. of Oxford for the past four years. He enjoyed the outdoors and the unspoiled beauty of Vermont.

An accomplished downhill ski racer and winter sports enthusiast, Sean was a ski instructor at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, VT. He enjoying many other activities including riding quads, motorcycling, fishing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, target shooting, cooking steak and reading. In addition to parents, Sean is survived by a cherished sister, Brooke Anne Lindsley of Waterbury, VT, Brooke’s fiancé, Benton Mitchell of Monkton, VT, his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Jennie Srubas Lindsley of Newington, CT and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Ann Tripeny Starks. Funeral services will be private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia, is in care of arrangements.
