A visitation will be held for Sharon at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM and on Friday May 4, 2018 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home for a 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St Joseph’s Church of Keyport. Burial will follow in St Joseph’s Cemetery of Keyport. Sharon Ann Fitzgerald Conroy October 16, 1951 – April 30, 2018 Sharon, beloved wife, sister, & friend, passed away peacefully with her husband and family at her side on Monday April 30, 2018.

Sharon was born in Jersey City, NJ and was raised in Hazlet, NJ. She graduated Raritan High School and worked as a shipping clerk at Yellow Freight, East Brunswick, NJ until her retirement. She moved to Gettysburg PA in 2001 and enjoyed skiing and traveling with her husband.

Sharon loved her home in Gettysburg because of all the wildlife and animals that adorned her park like home. Sharon was a loving wife, sister, and friend. She lit up a room with her smile and everyone including strangers gravitated toward her.

Sharon saw the good in everyone and helped so many people. Her quick wit, contagious laugh, intelligent dialogue, and silliness will be missed by all. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Russell Fitzgerald, her brother Dennis Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Conroy, her sisters Kathleen Fitzgerald Drake and her husband Don Drake, her sister Nancy Fitzgerald Calamusa and her husband John Calamusa, and her brother Thomas Fitzgerald. She loved and adored all of her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephew, mother in law, brothers& sisters in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Sharon’s honor to St. Jude’s Hospital as it held a special place in her heart. Rest In Peace sweet angel.
