Maher, age 53, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 25, 2019. She was born in Long Branch and resided in Allenhurst prior to moving to Shark River Hills in 1998. She is an alumni of both Red Bank Catholic High School and Seton Hall University.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Neptune City Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the Allenhurst Beach Club. She worked at Illianos Restaurant in Eatontown.

She is predeceased by her parents Ralph and Mary Gironda. She is survived by her loving husband Rich Maher, three children; Tracy L (Christopher) Hankins, Richard T. Maher and Ryan Maher all of Neptune, four brothers; Gerald of Elberon, Stephen C. of Long Branch, Kevin (Virginia) of Lederach, Pa. and Thomas Gironda of Neptune, one sister Mary Beth George of Pt.

Pleasant, three grandchildren; Bryanna, Kaitlyn, and C.J., as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Sheila is also survived by Ashlyn Solimeno and life long friend, Kimberly Ernst Rogers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday Jan 30, 2019 at 10:30 am at Our Lady Of Mt.

Carmel Church, Asbury Park. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Humane Society in her name.
