Sheila Stevens April 19, 1967 – January 31, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Sheila Stevens, 51, of Connersville, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019. She was born on April 19, 1967, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is the daughter of James Hammond and Judith Kimberlin Hammond. On July 2005, she married Bill Stevens in Connersville.

Sheila was a faithful member of Trinity Praise & Worship Center. She worked for CRF and was proud to be able to help people. She had a strong will and was a selfless woman; making sure to take care of everyone else before herself.

She was known for being hard-working and ambitious. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren; telling stories, and she was always dancing around and having a good time. Sheila is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Cierra Hammond and Destiny Stevens, both of Connersville; a brother, Paul (Molly) Hammond, of Clayton, IN; three sisters, Velma (John) Dalton, of Rochdale, IN, Barbara Hammond, of Odessa, TX, and Rosia Ringle, of Odessa, TX; three grandchildren, Maddison, Riley, Ava, and one on the way, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Hammond; and a sister, Vicky Wayne. Visitation for Sheila will be on Monday, February 4, 2019, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. The funeral service will begin at 6:00pm on Monday, with Pastor Larry Horn officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to assist the family.
