OBITUARY Shelby Joseph Giroir Jr. June 27, 1953 – November 13, 2018 Shelby Joseph Giroir Jr., 65, a native of Pierre Part and resident of Labadieville passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Shelby was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He worked for Crescent Drilling as a Logistic Coordinator for numerous years and loved his job.

Shelby enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, cooking and music. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Melonia A. Giroir; mother, Ann Mabile Giroir; daughter, Kristie Giroir Lirette (Daniel); three sons, Jason Giroir (Amy), Cory Giroir (Lisa) and Jarod Giroir (Andrea); step children, Crystal Gros Doiron (Arthur) and C.J. Gros (Kelli); nineteen grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine Giroir Arcement (Paul) and Renee Giroir Hicks (Randy); two brothers, Daniel Giroir (Lora) and Glen Giroir (Amelia). He is preceded in death by his father, Shelby J. Giroir Sr.; brother, Billy Giroir, and niece Shelbie Lynn Hicks.

The family would like to thank the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, Acadian Ambulance, the doctors, nurses and staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Thibodaux Regional Home Health and Fresenius of Thibodaux and Houma. A memorial will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 9am until service at 11am at New Covenant Community Church in Pierre Part.
