Sheldon “Butch” H. Ripley, 71, of Rockford passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. Born January 5, 1947 in Chicago to Clarence and Roselyn (Karabush) Ripley. Married Catherine Slycord January 11, 2004 in Roselle.

Butch enjoyed riding motorcycles and camping. Survivors include wife, Cathy Ripley of Rockford; step-son, Chris Berg of Rockford; grandchildren, Trent Berg of Woodstock, Vinny Berg of Davis Junction, Anthony Berg of Davis Junction, Sofia Berg of Davis Junction; sister-in-law, Amy Renwick of Elgin; brother-in-law, Bob Renwick of Elgin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by parents; grandparents; and dog, Rocco.

Celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Davis Junction United Methodist Church, 201 East Chicago Ave, Davis Junction, 61020. Visitation will be held from 10:30 until time of service in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be give to Davis Junction United Methodist Church or Basset Buddies Rescue, P.O. Box 13562, Milwaukee, WI 53213.
