OBITUARY Sheryl Chin January 24, 1964 – October 19, 2018 Sheryl Chin, Daughter to Mr. Eddie Mak-Yut Chin and Mrs. Kwan Tai Chin, went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2018. Born in Houston on January 24, 1964, she was a lifelong Houstonian. Affectionately known as ‘Aunt Sheryl,’ Ms. Chin was a member of Second Baptist Church as well as a 30+ year veteran employee of ERM Southwest.

Ms. Chin is survived by her mother, Mrs. Kwan Tai Chin, two sisters, Judy (Chin) Jacobson and Deborah (Chin) McKennell, Nephew Jonathan Wang, and Neice Brittany McKennell. Aunt Sheryl is preceded in death by her father, Eddie May-Yut Chin and her oldest sister, Mrs. Darlene (Chin) Wang. Sheryl was an active participant in the care of her family, both for her late sister Darlene and her Mother, Mrs. Chin.

Having no children, Ms. Chin’s life’s work was giving back to others. It was not uncommon to work a full day at the office with co-workers and friends at ERM, followed by a second workday as a daughter, aunt and friend to her mother and nephew Jonathan. She had fellowship and community with other caregivers and staff at DaVita First Colony and her family at ERM.

Animals were also a passion of Sheryl Chin. Both (cats) Spike and Peaches are now joined by their beloved owner in the heavens. We will miss you so very much.

Services will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday October 24, 2018. Visitation at 12:30 followed by Services at 2pm. www.
