Shirley A. Wicks, 77, of Williamsport, died peacefully Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home. Born July 28, 1941 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late John L., Sr. and Clara (Schuman) Derr. Shirley was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Polish Club, the Wheel Inn, and the VFW Post #7863, Duboistown.

Shirley enjoyed time outdoors, especially the time she spent camping, going on vacations and driving around town visiting friends. Surviving are two sons Stanley C. Wicks, III (Carrie Ritter Fisher) of Williamsport, and Scott Wayne Wicks (Jennifer) of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Patricia, Kara, Gage, and Dakota; a great granddaughter, Tayiah; niece Sandy Grier (Ed); and nephews, Mike and David Stachowski. Shirley was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kayley, siblings John Derr, Jr., Jessie Stachowski, and Doris Berry; a nephew, Rick Berry; and her beloved dog; Brownie.

A funeral service to honor the life of Shirley will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Burial will follow at Montoursville Cemetery, Montoursville. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders Mortuary.

Memorial contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1400 Market St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
