Shirley’s Obituary Shirley Ann Mineer, 90, of Paxton passed away at 12:52 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2019, at Paxton Evangelical Covenant Church, 260 S. Union Street, Paxton with Pastor David Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be one hour before the service beginning at 10:00 Friday at the Paxton Evangelical Covenant Church. Baier Family Funeral Services, Paxton is handling arrangements. Shirley was born April 7, 1928 in Merrill, Michigan the daughter of Earl A. and Florence Johnson Weburg.

She married H. Stanley Mineer August 13, 1950 in Paxton. He preceded her in death November 4, 1997. She is survived by a son Steven (Sharon) Mineer of Big Fork, Montana; a daughter, Virginia “Ginger” Mineer of Paxton and two grandsons, Alex and Andrew Mineer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Frances Adkins, Evelyn Baker and a brother, Marvin Weburg. Shirley graduated from Paxton High School in 1946. She worked at the neighborhood grocery store on Union Street for a number of years and retired from Baltimore Aircoil in 1986.

She was a member of the Paxton Evangelical Covenant Church. Shirley was a loyal Illinois football and basketball fan. Nothing meant more to her than spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

She always looked forward to Christmas time with her family. Memorials may be made to the Paxton Evangelical Covenant Church. Condolences may be offered at www.
