Shirley J. Christiansen, 92, of Moline, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Funeral services are 11 am Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330 13th St., Moline. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Visitation is an hour prior to the service at the church. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Shirley Jean Bergren was born July 3, 1926 in Moline, a daughter of Walter and Ellen Bengston Bergren. She married Jack Christiansen on June 16, 1946 in Moline. He died November 24, 1999.

Shirley retired from Deere & Company, where she worked in the Consumer Products Building. She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of its Lydia Circle. Shirley was also a volunteer and member of the Trinity Medical Center Auxiliary and an avid Bridge player and reader.

Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Julie Ann Christiansen, Bernkastel-Kues, Germany; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, J. Richard Christiansen; sister, Nancy Tiedge; and brothers, Robert and Clayton Bergren. Online condolences may be left at wheelanpressly.com.
