Shirley L. Steel, 70, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Greensburg on Dec. 23, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther Lubash Luczka.

Shirley was a well-loved member of the employee family at Greengate East Beer Distributorship and a longtime employee with Marshalls and Redstone Highlands. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Modrak, and her best friend, Velvet. Surviving are her children, Shirley (Darrin) Modrak, Lisa Steel (Doug Thompson) and William J. (Leeann Merlin) Steel; her grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Zackary, Joseph and Joyce; her brother, Joseph Luczka; and many friends, including Jeanne, Jeri, Karen and Nila.

She is remembered as the prettiest in the room, and we already miss her kindness, sweet voice and good cheer. Honoring Shirley’s wishes, services will be private with burial in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with the arrangements.
