Shirley Mae Hoyt, 82 of Chester passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was born in Newell on June 8, 1936. A homemaker, Shirley was a quiet soul that enjoyed crocheting and flower arranging.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hoyt; and her siblings, Ruth, Betty, Tom, and Carl. She is survived by her children, Diana (John) Haswell of Amelia Island, FL. , and Denise Hoyt Cook of Chester; grandchildren, Kim Edgell, John Haswell, Randy Cook, James Cook, Crystal Cook; great-grandchildren, Taylor Edgell, Ruthie Edgell, Joslynn Haswell, Anna Haswell, and CrisLyn Cook; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Private services are being held at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester and private interment will be at Longs Run Cemetery in Calcutta.
