Shirley M. Currier, 80, of Sylvania, OH, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 18, 1938, in Lansing, MI, to Arthur and Margaret (Long) Rhodes. Shirley married Robert Currier in 1957 and together they raised three children and enjoyed 34 years of marriage until his passing in 1991.

She worked at various restaurants through the years as a waitress and hostess. Shirley enjoyed shopping, especially on QVC, reading, going to bingo and the casino playing the slot machines, kept a tidy home running her vacuum daily as she liked to see the lines in the carpet, and was a very proud grandparent. Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her children, Max Currier; Robin (Darryl) King; Sarah (Joseph) Haddad; grandchildren, Darryl (Michelle), Patrick, and Albert (Stacey) King; Jenna (Mohamad) Saleh; Joseph R. Haddad; nine great grandchildren; and brother, James Rhodes; in-laws Carol Currier and Bob Wismar.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; siblings, Norma Jean, Bob, Linda, and Jackie; and in-laws Kathleen and James. Friends may join the family for visitation at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH, Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 5pm to 9pm where Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 8, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
