Mr. Sydney Leroy Dockery, age 74, of Carrollton passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Sunday, September 19, 1943. Mr. Dockery was the son of the late Ira Dockery and the late Della (Johnson) Dockery.

Survivors include his wife Katrina (Pate) Dockery of Carrollton, Georgia; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin and Leda Dockery of Newnan, Georgia and Derek Dockery of Newnan, Georgia; one daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Greg Wallace of Newnan, Georgia; three step-sons and their spouses, Kevin Clements of Mississippi, Chris and Cherrie Clements of Dallas, Georgia, and Jeff and Christina Clements of Carrollton, Georgia; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Mr. Dockery served in the United States Air Force. Later in life, he worked for and retired from the United States Department of Defense as a Police Officer.

In accordance with Mr. Dockery’s wishes, he will be cremated. Messages of condolence can be made to the family by signing the online tribute wall. Cremation services are being provided by Hutcheson-Croft Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Temple.
