Obituary for Simon Hernandez Simon Hernandez, age 59, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 here in Del Rio. He was born on August 16, 1959 in Del Rio. Simon lived in Del Rio all of his life.

He was a big sports fan, especially football and baseball. Simon loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Maria Reyes Hernandez and Isidro Hernandez; Family members left to cherish his memory include his siblings: Richard Hernandez and wife Virginia Hernandez of Del Rio, Ruth Butler and husband Charles Butler of Waynesboro, TN, Ronaldo Hernandez of CA, Rosalinda Hernandez of Del Rio, Dora Ramirez of Dallas, TX, Sylvia Hernandez of Del Rio, Leticia Mojica and family of Del Rio, and Esmeralda Moreno and husband Ranulfo Moreno of Del Rio; Simon is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Faith. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass is scheduled for Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

Burial will follow at the San Felipe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Javier R. Gonzalez, Michael Hernandez, Adrian Moreno, Ranulfo Moreno, Isidro Hernandez, and Jesus Moreno. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Simon Hernandez please visit our Sympathy Store.
