Sonja M. J. Reinke, age 79 of Henderson, died at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Le Sueur on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. Funeral Service will be at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Henderson, MN on Friday, February 22, 2019, 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Henderson. Lunch at church following the burial services.

Rev. Deb Meyer will officiate the services. Sonja was born on April 25, 1939 in Sibley County, MN to Heinrich and Esther (Bird) Rannow.

She grew up in the Henderson area and attended Henderson area country schools. Sonja married Benjamin Schneider on February 23, 1957 at Zion Untied Church of Christ in Le Sueur, MN. The couple lived in Henderson for many years and Sonja worked as a nurses aid at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague, MN and Belle Plaine Lutheran Home.

Sonja enjoyed her time with her daughter, grandkids and siblings. She is survived by her daughter Rosemary (Tom) McDonnell of Aitkin, MN. Grandsons; Tom (Jessica) McDonnell of Oliva, MN; Eric McDonnell of Henderson, MN; Nick (April) McDonnell of Laveen, AZ and Joe (Jennifer) McDonnell of Princeton, MN; 7 great-grandchildren.

Siblings; Janet Kerinke, Virgil (Joyce) Rannow, Harvey (Marilyn) Rannow, Tena (Lloyd) Stuber, Orville (Barb) Rannow, Heinrich Jr. (Kathy) Rannow, Sandy (Bob) Sack, Karen (Alan) Fries, Barb (Bob) Buckingham, Wanda Hagberg, Audrey Glam and Darvin (Wanda) Rannow. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Linda Brandt.
